TRIALS

The TXT PRO range of trials bikes really do look good for 2010 and because the bike had major changes for 2009, for example the new tubular frame (which has been a big improvement with no problems....) for 2010 they are simply ‘improved and refined’.

The TXT PRO range performs perfectly and is very reliable. The new 2010s look stunning with the red frame, black plastics and the new red stickers. The attention to detail in the 2010 models is superb, with colour anodized rims and other parts in a cool titanium colour.

They have also included the quality S3 Titanium front pipe as standard on all PROs.

The PRO250/280/300 will also feature the ‘two-piece’ cylinder heads which are fantastic because the customer can change the performance of the engine easily for personal setup.

The TXT PRO 125 will get the new crankshaft that is fitted to the RAGA125 which is a big improvement. I have also been told that the new 125 will have a new carburetor.

There are many other small improvements that altogether make quite a difference for 2010.

ENDURO

The EC range have had quite ‘facelift’ from 09 with some big changes you can see below. The new frame is stunning and they now have a complete new, more modern look with the latest plastics etc. The 2010 Sachs suspension is also a BIG improvement.

The ‘EC’ models are fully homologated for road use with a ‘certificate of conformity’. These models come fully homologated and are supplied with the various parts needed for ‘race use’.

A few months ago Gas Gas UK launched a ‘Cross Country’ model at reduced price, with various parts missing (lights, stand, speedo etc) for the customers that only use their bikes for cross country events. (These are still available at a fantastic RRP £4769.99)

For 2010 the Gas Gas Factory will produce the ‘Cross Country’ as a standard model but it will retain the lights, speedo, sidestand etc. and will come ‘ready to race’ with no homologated parts and no ‘certificate of conformity’. This is the model that will be perfect for the UK because it will still be possible to register these models for road use.

Some countries need the fully homologated EC models whereas other countries (UK included) will benefit from the ‘Cross Country’ model because they will be the same bike but better priced and still be able to register them for the road ;

Gas Gas will also launch their new 250 4-stroke with the reliable YAMAHA WR250F engine with electric start!

You may also have seen that the Spanish company ‘Rieju’ have also produced a 2504T with a Yam engine. This bike will infact be built by Gas Gas and is basically the Yamaha 4T engine in the ‘09 GG bike re-badged as a ‘Rieju Marathon’.

The actual Gas Gas EC250F will have the new spec 2010 frame, suspension and plastics etc.

TRAIL

Gas Gas have also re-launched the ‘Pampera’ Trail bike which is 100% a Rieju ‘Tango’ that Gas Gas have just re-badged. This ‘funky’ little trail bike with the bombproof 125 4 stroke Yam engine could prove to be quite popular.

So the relationship that Gas Gas have with Rieju is both professional and simple.. Rieju produce the ‘Pampera’ for Gas Gas and Gas Gas produce the ‘Marathon’ for Rieju.

Bikes will be available from September.
